Source: Written in 2006 by Andy Klapper (Squash Beetle Morris).
Tune: The Rose (modified) as AAB(AC)3 (A=figures, B=chorus, C=slow chorus). (abc pdf)
Tradition: Lexington-in-the-Bluegrass.
Formation: A set of 4.
Sequence: Once to Yourself, Up and out, Chorus, F-Gyp, Chorus, E-Gyp, Chorus, Pop-Tarts, Chorus.
Chorus: A square hey using 4 capers, then ds up, ds in place,
2pb, ftj. The hey is: across by the right, up and down by the left,
across by the right, up and down by the left. Capers are: 1st chorus:
up steps; 2nd chorus: beetle squashers; 3rd chorus: x-capers; 4th chorus:
leap frogs. In the last chorus the pattern is: odds leap evens;
tops leap bottoms; evens leap odds; bottoms leap tops. Note that number 1
leaps every time, numbers 2 and 3 leap alternate times, and number 4
never leaps (in fact number four stays in one spot). Leaps are butt to head.
Ending: Replace the last ftj by 2 pit capers to face up.
