I am semi-retired and no longer teaching classes.
Mark Goresky and I have written a book on algebraic methods of sequence generation, titled Algebraic Shift Register Sequences.
Research interests: applying algebra and number theory to problems in cryptography and communications. My research in the last 25 years has concerned 2-Adic Shift Registers, Sequences for CDMA Systems, Boolean Functions, and Multicovering Radii of Codes.

My hobbies include Morris Dancing and Bird Watching. Sometimes I do both at the same time, but usually the other dancers get upset when I run into them.
