Professor Baxter Retires From Computer Science Department

Dr. Anthony Q. Baxter first joined the University of Kentucky‚ Computer Science Department in 1972. He is the longest serving member of the department by more than a decade. Along with various other posts, he served as Director of Undergraduate Studies for more than 16 years.

Although he has retired from the academic arena, Baxter continues to work at   CorrectCare, a company that he co-founded to provide health care services for inmates in Kentucky and other states.

A reception will be held in Professor Baxter's honor Friday, September 25th in the Lexmark Public Room of the Main Building from 4 to 6pm.

The Tony Baxter Scholarship Fund has been set up to honor his contributions to the University.

Contributing is easy via the University's Online Form. Simply click on this link. At the top of the form, select "Engineering, College of" from the pull-down menu. Then, in the field labeled "And/or this specific project", type Tony Baxter Scholarship Fund. Then click the "Add Gift" button at the bottom of the page. You will be asked to input an amount, then your credit card information.
